Walter Emil Spencer, 65, of Redwater, Texas, died Monday, September 13, 1993, in a local hospital.
Mr. Spencer was born January 10,1928, at Redwater. He was retired from Red River Army Depot and a
member of First United Methodist Church, Redwater and Maud Masonic Lodge # 859. He was preceded in
death by his wife, Gloria Wanda Spencer, who died July 1,1990. Survivors include one daughter, Emily
Lesher of Texarkana, Texas; two brothers, Darwin Spencer of Lufkin, Texas and Carrol L. Spencer of
Redwater; three sisters, Marjorie Black, Evelyn McDonald and Wanda Scott all of Redwater; and a number
nieces and nephews. Graveside services with masonic rites will be 2 p.m. today in Redwater Cemetery with
the Rev. Ronnie Pipes officiating, under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home. The family will be at the
Emily Lesher residence on Shillings Lane, Texarkana.
